Calf leather stamped to emulate snakeskin. Both boards have a large embossed gilt decoration of a stylized bouquet. Endpapers in metallic gold and silver silk pattern. Illustrated with 14 engravings by André Dignimont, finished by Roger Lacourière. Special to this limited edition are the same 14 plates repeated, with pochoir color hand-applied by artist Robert Lecourt, plus eight pochoir-colored part-page illustrations and title-page decoration.

Covers are clean and bright. Hinges and extremities are age-tanned. Internals are crisp, clean, and bright. Textblock is solid and square.
