Hess has beautifully captured the greatest comeback victory in the storied history of the University of Kentucky in The Comeback Cats. The Wildcats outlasted Utah 78-69 winning its second national championship in three years.

The painting documents the drama and intensity of Jeff Sheppard's jump shot with 4:54 left that put Kentucky ahead for good, 65-64. The painting also features Head Coach Tubby Smith and senior leaders Cameron Mills and Allen Edwards.
